What is the OnePulse App? Your Next Money-Maker?

Thanks for joining me today for an informative OnePulse App review. We’ll explore everything, starting with exactly what is the OnePulse App, and how does it work? My mission is to give you enough information to decide if this money-making app is worth your time.

It’s incredible how much time we all spend glued to our phones these days, isn’t it? Wouldn’t it be ideal if there was a way to make all that screen time pay? As someone who’s always on the lookout for ways to earn a little side income, I know I find that idea very appealing!

When I stumbled upon OnePulse, their novel twist on paid surveys made me very curious. So, I had to join and check them out.

Let’s dive right into the details of this platform, shall we?

OnePulse App At A Glance

OnePulse App LogoProduct Name: OnePulse App

Product Type: Micro-Survey Platform

Website: OnePulse.com

Price: Free

Summary: OnePulse is a mobile application that provides real-time consumer insights to a variety of businesses and brands. Members earn rewards for responding to micro-surveys called “Pulses” which generally take less than a minute to complete. The earning potential is low because the maximum payment for a Pulse is 34 cents and the maximum distribution per month is $20.

My Rating: 2 out of 5

Recommended?: Yes, for those interested in earning a few extra bucks each month.

What is the OnePulse App?

OnePulse is a mobile application that provides real-time consumer insights to a variety of businesses and brands. StartPulsing Limited launched the app in the UK back in 2013 and then expanded to the US in 2017. Companies use this digital platform to get feedback from targeted groups of consumers instantly

Members periodically receive sets of up to three quick questions on their phones called Pulses. Rapid response to Pulses is essential to avoid losing out due to closure. In theory, businesses have data within an hour for use in critical decision making.

These micro-surveys allow OnePulse’s 70,000 plus users to share opinions on things like products, hobbies, and current events. Organizations have a great tool to conduct market research in a far more affordable and less time-consuming fashion than more traditional approaches.

How Does This App Work?

For a quick overview of OnePulse, see the video below:

OnePulse is available for download for both IOS and Android devices. Sign-up is a quick and easy process. But, as with all survey sites, you will have to complete your profile by providing extensive demographic information. Enterprises develop queries, define the target audience, and specify the number of responses they want.

Respondents are selected based on matching demographic characteristics, and notifications are sent out. It typically takes less than a minute to answer a Pulse. Occasionally, people are asked to express their opinion in a few words. But the majority of questions fall into the multiple-choice or true/false category.

The concept is to reach out to prospective customers and “tap them on the shoulder” as they go about their daily lives. Opinions are always shared anonymously. When you get a notification, open the application and click on the image displayed (see some examples below) to access your queries.

Sample Pulses

One disappointing feature is that not all Pulses are paid. Many, particularly early in your membership, are unpaid. But, it’s essential to answer the unpaid questions as well because they help you to acquire Experience Points (XP) and increase your level.

Experience Points (XP) and Levels

Your level within the App is an important factor. As you achieve higher levels, your payment rate for paid Pulses increases. Furthermore, you will also receive more Pulses as you move up through the ranks. So, racking up those XP has a significant impact on your eventual earning capacity.

OnePulse has 34 levels. Everyone starts out at Level 1, where you theoretically earn 7 cents for each paid Pulse received. I say theoretically because I wasn’t sent a paid Pulse until I reached Level 7. Your compensation rate increases by 1 cent for each level achieved until you reach Level 34, and your pay rate peaks at 40 cents per Pulse.

You will know if a Pulse is eligible for payment because you see a dollar sign ($) in your activity feed. After 3 days of membership I earned 13 cents today for one set of queries.

Gamification

In addition to paying members for certain of their responses, OnePulse also offers several contests each month. Some offer cash prizes of $10 or $15 paid directly to your PayPal account. Other prizes involve XP boosts. It’s possible to jump up to Level 34 (Super Pulser) by winning a contest.

For example, each Sunday afternoon at 3 pm GMT, a contest called Pulser of the Week goes live. Participants must correctly answer 3 questions from the prior week’s activity to have their name placed into a drawing that occurs on Monday. 2 winners will receive $10 apiece.

How Will You Get Paid?

OnePulse pays members in cash through PayPal. Unfortunately, the minimum threshold was recently increased to $20, which I suspect is going to be a real struggle to reach. I read several earlier reviews of the program that indicated payout could be requested at $5, but that’s no longer the case.

You can only request one $20 distribution in each 30 day period.

Final Thoughts – Is OnePulse Worth Your Time?

I hope I was able to thoroughly answer your question, what is the OnePulse App? I will say that I have no doubts that OnePulse is safe to use and represents a legitimate platform. Many users enjoy expressing their opinions and also feel that they learn new things.

I do find the program very user-friendly and the questions interesting, especially those focused on current events. It’s obviously not a big source of income, but you may be able to make some extra pocket money in a way that doesn’t consume a great deal of time.

Is joining and participating in OnePulse worth your time? That’s a value judgment that we each have to make on our own. I’m planning to keep the App for the time being to see if the number of paid Pulses I receive improves.

Perhaps the bigger question is whether earning small amounts of spending money is genuinely your goal. Or, are you seeking a way to make money online to supplement your income in a more substantial way? Maybe you even have thoughts of replacing your primary income source and focusing entirely on the online space.

You may be settling for trying apps and other simple tasks because you’re not sure what else is available. If that’s true, you may want to consider putting your free time to better use. It’s impossible to earn a life-changing income with an app like OnePulse because the tasks simply don’t pay enough.

But, there is a no-risk platform (free to join) where you can get some fabulous training for navigating today’s online world. The main focus of this industry-leading platform is affiliate marketing. The training revolves around a four-step blueprint for building an online business that can lead to massive online success for those willing to invest the effort.

Learning how to create a WordPress website, along with all the things you can do with a website, is fascinating. If you’ve ever thought that you’d like to know more about Internet marketing, the opportunity to try it out for free is not something you should miss out on.

Whether you decide to stick with surveys or expand your horizons, I wish you all the best!

  1. Hi Linda! Thank you so much for this review I didn’t know this product but it seems a good way to make some extra money! Sometimes I used paid surveys platforms but I never reviewed nor recommended them because they take so much time that the effort is not worth the money you get. In this case it seems that it is pretty easy and, above all, you get notified when there is a relevant survey for you – so many times it happens that you get notified and after answering a few questions the platform tells you that surveys is not good for your profile! So maybe they don’t pay that much, but it is so easy to take the survey that the money is appropriate. Thank you so much!

    • Hi Rosalia,

You’re very welcome! Yes, I tend to agree with you on all points. I’m not generally a big fan of surveys. Even if you qualify and complete the survey the pay is not very good. When you factor in all the disqualifications, it’s much worse. I’m open to giving OnePulse a chance because the questions are so quick to answer. I’ve also found the Pulses interesting where surveys often are somewhat tedious.

Thanks for taking the time to comment!

  2. Very interesting app. However, I am from Lithuania and can’t find it to download this app. I hope to find some similar app where I can answer questions to earn some pocket moneys 🙂

I also can recommend the sweatcoin app where you can earn by walking! You get sweat-coins for walking and can spend them buying coupons for discounts on products that are listed in the app or even to pay the full price of products!

    • Hi David,

Yes, OnePulse membership is currently limited to the UK and the US. Stay tuned, though, because they have plans to expand their community greatly.

I also love the Sweatcoin App. Isn’t it great to make money doing something you do anyway? And, it never hurts to have a little extra motivation to continue doing health activities, right?

I’m sorry OnePulse won’t work out for you, at least for now. But I appreciate you jumping in with a recommendation. Thanks for sharing!
