Survey Time Review: Do They Really Pay You Instantly?

Thanks for joining me today for my Survey Time review. In your quest to make some money online, you probably have come across the Survey Time website or a mention on social media. Their pitch sounds very appealing, doesn’t it?

Get paid $1 instantly for every survey you complete!

It’s not like other sites don’t sometimes pay $1 (or occasionally more) for a completed survey. But in many cases, the compensation rate is less, particularly for short surveys. Survey Time offers $1 even for 10-minute surveys.

But it’s the instant payout that sets Survey Time apart from the vast majority of market research paid survey sites. It’s not uncommon to see minimum payout thresholds of at least $10. Moreover, some websites require an accumulation of $30 or even more before you can request a distribution.

Let’s face it. Most of us prefer instant gratification. So, I was intrigued and eager to check out this promise. I had to join and see for myself how this website operated because I’m a natural skeptic,

So, is Survey Time legit? Do they really pay you immediately?

In this Survey Time review, I will tell you about my personal experiences in using the site. You will then be better prepared to decide if this is something you’re interested in trying.

So, without further ado, let’s jump into the details.

What is Survey Time?

Survey Time is a paid survey site owned and operated by Persona.ly. It’s a relatively new site launched in 2018. Persona.ly is a mobile ad-tech (advertising technology) company that works closely with large market research firms to gather consumer feedback. In addition to Survey Time, Persona.ly operates an Offer Wall available on many reward websites.

Survey Time is available worldwide, which may be a big advantage depending on where you live. Your location will affect the number of survey opportunities you have. US members generally see the largest number of surveys. But membership is not restricted as it is with similar platforms.

You must be 18 or older to participate. Survey Time does not have a mobile app. However, the site is responsive and mobile-friendly. For the most part, you can take surveys on any device, including desktop computers, tablets, and smartphones. Sometimes you’ll be warned that a study works best on a larger screen, but I have also used my phone.

How Does Survey Time Work?

Naturally, the first step is to sign-up. This is a straightforward process where you can join using your social media account or provide an email. It is a bit different in the sense that you don’t choose your own password. After you provide an email address, you’ll receive an email that gives you an auto-generated password.

Once you enter the supplied password, you answer some basic demographic questions to complete your profile. In theory, this information makes it easier to find you surveys that are a good fit. I question how well the process works because I get disqualified from many of their surveys.

One thing about the website had me a little concerned initially. I completed a profile, but I can’t access my account or profile information. In fact, there is very minimal information about how the site works, But I had surveys available. So, I decided to proceed.

And, I have to admit that it all worked flawlessly. The interface is user-friendly, making it very easy to complete the polling questions. My first survey was only 15 minutes long with engaging current events questions. Sure enough, upon completing the survey, I received $1.

I was then immediately asked how I wanted to receive my payment.

How Will You Get Paid?

Upon completion of each survey, you must choose your desired payment method. Your choices are cash via PayPal, an Amazon e-gift card, or Coinbase. I opted for PayPal because even though gift cards are great, it’s tough to beat real cash.

For your very first payout, you need to verify your phone number. Survey Time will also validate your PayPal account by sending 1 cent to make sure the funds transfer. They tell you that this process is occurring. And, I know they initiated the test immediately because PayPal sent me a notification.

Even with the validation process, the $1 was still in my PayPal account within about 2 hours of completing the survey. Furthermore, I can attest that even that short delay only occurs the first time. After completing my second survey, the $1 reward was in my PayPal account 5 minutes later.

The only other survey app I use that pays instantly without having to request distribution is 1Q. I enjoy using 1Q as well, but their questions are sporadic, and the most frequent payout is $.25. Google Opinion Rewards is another app that pays you automatically. But you need a balance of $2 first, which may take a few short surveys over a period of time to accumulate.

So, is Survey Time legit? 

Yes, there is no question in my mind that this is a legitimate platform where you will be paid instantly for your efforts. I also like the fact that you can request notification by email or text when new surveys are available. You can also log in and check the site. But notification is more convenient.

That said, I still have one major issue with the program. Site Support seems to be non-existent. I scoured the platform looking for a contact form. I finally found an email address for support at the very end of the Privacy Policy page. But, after sending a message two days ago, I have yet to hear a word.

You will receive a lot of emails from Tommy@SurveyTime. But these are all auto-generated. I have replied to the emails and also created a new message addressed to this email. So far, I have no response nor any indication that anyone is receiving my queries.

The lack of help concerns me because there are bound to be technical snafus with any website eventually. But, so far, everything is working well. Therefore, I’ll continue to use the site until I have an issue I can’t resolve. I will also continue to hope that Site Support gets back to me.
