The Best Survey Apps to Make Money On the Go

Welcome to my handy rundown of the best survey apps to make money on the go. Truthfully, you don’t actually have to go anywhere to use these apps. The point is they’re flexible enough to let you make money anywhere.

There are lots of different ways to make money online with apps today. But for now, our focus is on surveys because of their enormous popularity with so many people. Some of these apps also offer additional ways to earn a little cash. But, the one thing they all have in common is surveys.

Are you eager to add a little greenery to your wallet?

Who isn’t, right? Number 4 and 6 on the list are my personal favorites. But they’re all legit. So, why not give them a try?

7 Of The Best Survey Apps to Make Money On the Go

Paid survey sites exist to help Brands gather consumer feedback and insights. Your opinions have value because they help businesses improve their products and services. Sometimes companies can avoid costly blunders that can occur when they launch new products without considering customer desires.

All of these mobile market research apps are free to join. If you’re serious about making some extra cash, I recommend you download them all. There will be times when any one of these sites won’t have any surveys available. So, having multiple options can be advantageous.

Will you achieve financial freedom with this approach? Not a chance! Surveys will put a few extra bucks in your pocket each month, which is not a bad thing. But recognize that no one pays the bills with surveys!

1. Survey Junkie

Survey Junkie is a paid survey site owned by Disqo, Inc, which is a market research firm located in California. You must be at least 16 and a resident of the US, Canada, or Australia to join. This platform boasts more than 10 million members, which is a pretty clear indication of its popularity.

Completing surveys is the primary way to make money with Survey Junkie. Occasionally, there may be product testing or focus group opportunities, but these are rare. This platform rewards members with Points.

Right now, I have several surveys available paying anywhere from 15 Points to 100 Points. Generally speaking, the higher-paying surveys take longer to complete, but they rarely have an estimated completion time of more than 25 minutes. Converting Points to cash is straightforward (1 Point = 1 Cent).

Members joining after September 16, 2019, can cash out to PayPal when their Points balance reaches 500 (or $5). For US members, electronic gift cards are another option. You can download Survey Junkie’s App from either the App Store or Google Play. Alternatively, you can complete surveys on your Desktop.

2. Inbox Dollars

Inbox Dollars is a GPT (Get-Paid-To) consumer rewards website where members get paid to participate in a variety of simple tasks, one of which is surveys. You can also make money by completing offers, watching videos, playing games, referring friends, and more.Inbox Dollars Logo

Launched back in 2000, Inbox Dollars currently has 101 million members and had paid out a whopping $872 million to its members over the years. Needless to say, it is a highly reputable site. Prodege LLC, the same company that owns Swagbucks, purchased Inbox Dollars in 2019,

To join, members must be at least 18 years old and US residents. Inbox Dollars keeps things real simple by not bothering with Points or any type of proprietary currency. You get paid for all tasks in cash. The payout threshold is a little high at $30, but there are a bunch of ways to earn, so the dollars add up.

Oh, and there’s a $5 bonus just for signing up! You can request payout either through PayPal or a check in the mail. Inbox Dollars has a mobile app for either IOS or Android devices. If you prefer, you can also complete surveys or other tasks on a desktop device.

Check out my detailed review of Inbox Dollars.

3. MyPoints

MyPoints is another example of a GPT (Get-Paid-To) site where you can earn points for engaging in market research surveys and other simple tasks. In addition to taking surveys, you can shop through the platform to earn cash rebates, complete offers, watch videos, and refer family and friends.

MyPoints Logo

MyPoints is something of an icon since it’s been around since 1996. Prodege, LLC, is also the marketing research firm behind MyPoints. To join MyPoints, you must be at least 13 years old and a resident of the US or Canada.

The process of converting Points into currency might be a little more complicated than it needs to be because there’s no stated conversion rate between Points and Dollars. The conversion rate varies depending on the award that you choose. Gift cards are available from a lengthy list of vendors in varying denominations, or you can select cash via PayPal.

Recently, minimum cashout thresholds were lowered, which is super because you see the benefits of participation sooner. You can now exchange 250 Points for a $1 Amazon gift card. If you want cash through PayPal, you need at least 1,590 points, which convert to $10.

New members also receive a 1,750 Point welcome bonus, which you can redeem if you make a purchase of at least $20 through one of the MyPoints participating vendors in the first 30 days of membership. If you do a lot of shopping online, this is not difficult,

MyPoints offers a mobile app for both Apple and Android devices. Or, you can take surveys and complete other tasks on your desktop computer.

4. Crowdtap

Crowdtap is an influencer marketing program where consumers have the opportunity to offer insights that influence the marketing decisions of major brands. Founded in 2009, Crowdtap has more than 1 million members. Businesses gain insights into their potential target markets through polls and short surveys.

Crowdtap Mobile Screen

Consumers earn rewards for the valuable marketing contributions they make. Members must be at least 13 years old. Crowdtap hopes to expand to other countries in the future, but right now, you must reside in the US to participate.

What I love is that most polls are short and sweet, with one to three questions. There are never any long and tedious questionnaires. And the best part? No disqualifications! They actually use your profile data and don’t keep asking you the same stuff. Imagine that!

The image on the right shows the mobile screen I saw this morning. Each small box is a question. Tap the square and answer in a minute or less. Most queries pay 3 to 5 points. Once you clear the board by tapping and answering, the screen may refill.

It all depends on how many questions are available. Answer as many queries as you want. Skip any item you don’t care to respond to. Crowdtap is the perfect companion for standing in lines or sitting in waiting rooms because you’ll never get interrupted before you can complete just one question.

As soon as you accumulate 1,000 points, you can request a $5 electronic gift card to one of 5 vendors. Unfortunately, they don’t offer cash through PayPal. But I’m fine with an Amazon gift card that I know will come in handy for my next purchase.

Download Crowdtap to your smartphone to get started today. If you prefer, you can also use your desktop device with this platform.

5. QuickThoughts

QuickThoughts is a mobile survey app that lets consumers earn gift cards for sharing their opinions on various brands. The app launched in 2013 and is available for download on both IOS and Android devices. Anyone 18 years and older can sign up for free regardless of where you live in the worldQuickthoughts Mobile Display

Recently, my opinion of Quickthoughts has improved significantly compared to when I first signed up and reviewed the app. Initially, the interface seemed a little glitchy, and there weren’t many surveys. But after a while, I started receiving frequent notifications of new surveys, I decided to give them another chance, and I’m glad I did.

Quickthoughts doesn’t mess around with Points. They reward you in cash, with most surveys paying $1. Some take a little longer than I would prefer, But overall, it’s not too bad. Disqualifications sometimes occur, but they give you $.10 for your trouble.

Once you accumulate $10, you can request a distribution. Payments are limited to gift cards. This is another feature that has improved since I first joined. Apple smartphone users were limited to iTunes gift cards, which did nothing for me. But, they now offer Amazon gift cards as well, which is just fine.

6. OnePulse

OnePulse is a unique mobile application that offers real-time consumer insights to a variety of businesses and brands. The app launched in the UK back in 2013 and then came to the US in 2017. Companies use this platform to get instant feedback from targeted groups of consumers using micro-surveys (1 to 3 questions) called Pulses.

OnePulse App Logo

Members periodically receive Pulse notifications on their phones. The platform is all about real-time data. So you must respond immediately, or the Pulse will close. Businesses draft the questions and get summarized data within an hour for use in critical decision making.

Pulses pay anywhere from 13 cents to 40 cents, depending on your level. You increase your level by answering a lot of unpaid Pulses, Similar to completing your profile on other survey sites, I suppose. Your answers provide insights into your interests (for future targeting) and also your willingness to respond both quickly and consistently.

Early on, I didn’t see many paid Pulses. But I now receive several each week. Mind you, my earnings to date are only #1.75. So, this is by no means a big money-maker. But I have to admit the Pulses are fun and engaging. Combine that with the fact that they take seconds to complete, and I’m willing to continue.

At $20, the minimum threshold is disappointingly high. It used to be $5 but recently increased. Payments are all in cash via PayPal/

7. Google Opinion Rewards

Google Opinion Rewards lets consumers participate in bite-sized market research surveys directly from their mobile devices. The app is available for both IOS and Android smartphones.

Google Opinion Rewards Logo

I signed-up instantly using my Google account. After signing up, you simply wait for survey notifications that are sent out randomly. You have 24 hours to complete a survey following notification. So far, my surveys have been super short 2 or 3 questions for which I received $.10.

Yes, I know the pay is tiny. 🙂 But consider this. The surveys take seconds to complete. So, the compensation is really not all that bad relative to the time commitment. I understand that some surveys can be a little longer and pay up to $1, but I haven’t seen one of those yet.

I’m an iPhone user, which means I get paid via PayPal. Payments are sent to your PayPal account automatically as soon as your balance reaches $2. My understanding is that Android users receive Google Play Credits

A complete review of Google Opinion Rewards is pending.
